What do I do if I encounter a printer error?

With every piece of equipment, comes problems to troubleshoot. As everyone use the Bambu Lab X1-Carbon printers more, we will be adding new problems and solutions to this page. If you encounter a printer error, please take a look below for a solution. 

If you encounter a problem with a Bambu Lab printer, and it is not featured on this page, please let a member of staff know so we can keep this page updated. Even better if you have the error code to hand!

Some of the issues listed are not able to be fixed by users, please inform uCreate staff and we will happily fix these issues for you. If you encounter an issue outside of staffed hours, please use the maintenance and broken machines form

Clogged poop shoot

Details of error

The filament disposal chute becomes backed up with filament.

Process step description

When it might occur

When the flushed filament bucket has not been emptied recently.

When flushed filament gets caught at the top of the chute. 

When users are completing a long print with multiple colours.

How to fix it

Look at the flushed filament bucket at the back of the printer and if it is full, empty the filament into the filament recycling bin. 

It is possible that filament has been pushed up into the printer. Gently, dislodge any flushed filament from inside the poop chute.

Error pulling out filament - [0700 8003 092628]

'Failed to pull out the filament from the extruder. This might be caused by clogged extruder or filament broken inside the extruder.'

When it might occur

We have had this occur when the end of a spool of filament is reached.

How to fix it

Speak to a member of uCreate staff. Do not attempt to resolve.

Toolhead front cover fell off [0300 8005 221616]

Details of error

'Toolhead front cover fell off. Please remount the front cover and check to make sure your print is going okay.'

When it might occur

If the printhead cover is knocked, as it is held on via magnets.

When the printer is put on sport or ludicrous mode as this increases the chance of the printhead crashing into your print.

How to fix it

Replace the toolhead cover, being certain to avoid the hot nozzle, and make sure the printhead has not collided (or will not collide) with your print.

Spaghetti defects detected [0300 8003 222016]

'Spaghetti defects were detected by the AI Print Monitoring. Please check the quality of the printed model before continuing your print'

When it might occur

When areas of your model are unsupported.

How to fix it

Check if the error message is correct and if your model is failing.

Then, either, cancel the one model that is failing, or reslice the whole buildplate.

AMS assist motor is overloaded [0700 8010 205218]

'The AMS assist motor is overloaded. This could be due to entangled filament or a stuck spool.'

When it might occur

If there is a tangle in the filament spool.

How to fix it

Unload the filament, check for any tangles and reload.
