Arduino Uno

Equipment description
Paragraph

The Arduino platform consists of a hardware microcontroller board, and the Arduino IDE software. An Arduino board can be programmed, and used to read inputs through various sensors (not included in the microcontroller) and transform them into some output. The Arduino Uno is the most common Arduino microcontroller board.

Key specs:

  • 8-bit 16MHz AVR microcontroller
  • USB programmable
  • Powered by USB, battery, or AC adapter
  • 3.3V and 5V output
  • 14 digital IO pins (of which 6 support PWM)
  • 6 analogue input pins

Useful for: Prototyping and creating electronic circuits, reading sensor data, controlling devices, robotics
